Practice Times:

All teams begin practice after school (2:15pm).    Cross country will finish at 3:15.   All other teams will finish practices at 3:45.  On Wednesdays, athletes can stay in a study hall in the WJHS cafe until practices begin at 3PM.   The coach will share end times for Wednesday practices at the first practice.

There may be a chance for 6th grades to play on some of the 7th grade teams listed above. This will happen if there are not enough 7th graders to fill out a roster. We will have a better idea the closer we get to the first practice and athletes have signed up. Most years 6th graders have been invited to play due to space being available in past years.

Football is sponsored by the WOYFCA.

WELLS JUNIOR HIGH WINTER ATHLETICS 2022-2023

You must have a valid “physical” on file with the school nurse in order to participate.  If you had a “physical” over the summer here at the school you are automatically on the list.  If you had a “physical” from your family doctor you need to turn in a copy of the physical to the school nurse to be added to the list.  “Physicals” are good for one year from the date of the physical.

Student/Athletes should not be leaving personal belongings/valuables in the locker room unless they are locking them in a locker.  If a student wants to "own" a locker to put their things in during practices and/or games they need to bring in a combination lock and give the combination to Mr. MacLeod or Ms. Jackson.

DO NOT LEAVE THINGS IN THE LOCKER ROOM UNLESS THEY ARE LOCKED IN A LOCKER!!!!!
