To sign up for Fall sports, If your child is interested they can sign up by emailing VickiAldridge at: valdridge@wocsd.org. Fall sports begin on September 7. Please include your name, grade, and the sport your child would like to play in the email.
Practices begin September 7. Game schedules will be published later in August.
REMINDER/NOTICE: If your child participates in school sports, it is the parent's responsibility to pick their child up promptly at the end of the practice or game.
Have all athletes bring a water bottle to all practices and all games.
You must have a valid “physical” on file with the school nurse in order to participate. If you had a “physical” over the summer here at the school you are automatically on the list. If you had a “physical” from your family doctor you need to turn in a copy of the physical to the school nurse to be added to the list. “Physicals” are good for one year from the date of the physical.
You will need to sign in to the app "RankOne" to get information on schedules and fill out paperwork for participation. The access code is your child's "lunch number". This has been difficult for some to remember as we have been doing free lunches during the pandemic. If you do not know the number please email Vicky Aldridge.
If your student does not have practice at 2pm, they MUST go home after school and return just prior to their practice time.
There are no games or practices on weekends.

Grades Levels Which May Participate:
There may be a chance for 6th grades to play on some of the 7th grade teams listed above. This will happen if there are not enough 7th graders to fill out a roster. We will have a better idea the closer we get to the first practice and athletes have signed up. Most years 6th graders have been invited to play due to space being available in past years.

Athletic Handbook
Your athlete will be supplied with our athletic handbook and code of conduct on the first day of practice.
Lockers
Student/Athletes should not be leaving personal belongings/valuables in the locker room unless they are locking them in a locker. If a student wants to "own" a locker to put their things in during practices and/or games they need to bring in a combination lock and give the combination to Mr. MacLeod or Ms. Cormier.
DO NOT LEAVE THINGS IN THE LOCKER ROOM UNLESS THEY ARE LOCKED IN A LOCKER!
RankOne
Please sign up for the RANK ONE and get the "RankOne" APP.
This will send notifications of any changes or cancelations throughout the season, list schedules and calendars, sign permission slips, sing concussion forms, and keep track of athletic physicals.
This is the same notification system that the high school uses. The student's access code is the code that they use as their lunch number.
Transportation
Students are required to travel to and from any “away from” school events by means provided by the district.
A student may leave an event with his/her parent(s)/guardian(s) by notifying the coach/advisor in writing, before the contest that his/her child will be leaving with them after the game. Students are not allowed to travel home from any “away from” locations with other participants parents/guardians.
